DRD
Duplicate Respondent Detection
Marketing Research Services that tracks users participation in surveys and prevents a survey respondent from participating in a survey more than once.
In response to recent quality initiatives and industry concerns, as well as, our usage of multiple sample sources, we've developed DRD - Duplicate Respondent Detection a marketing research service that utilizes a proprietary technology to detect "duplicate respondents" and ensure that they are unable to participate in Greenfield Online, Part of the Toluna Groupstudies.
Our new patent pending Duplicate Respondent Detection technology enables us to ensure that we're not allowing respondents to take the same survey more than once. No matter what.
The DRD the service utilizes a cookie-based technology that stamps each participant with their own unique ID to recognize them when they appear in the technology again, no matter where they come from. Each time a respondent begins a survey, his or her ID is checked to determine prior participation. And if prior participation is detected, the respondent is automatically taken out of the survey.
This ID is a single identifying number that is linked to every piece of information we have pertaining to the respondent (email address, physical address, etc.). So the technology recognizes them no matter how they try and bypass it. And since the ID stays with the respondent over time, whenever they take one of our surveys, we always know exactly who they are.
To further ensure DRD eliminates all repeat survey participants, we've partnered with a third party certification system, RelevantID™. This proprietary, digital fingerprinting technology gathers a large number of data points from each respondent's computer. These points go beyond machine level, or cookie based respondent duplication systems, to bolster the accuracy of DRD and ensure that 99.8% of the time we've prevented the ability for duplication.
